The NCD Group began as a pipe support company and is now a holding company comprising NCD Wind Division and NCD Service. The former deals with electricity produced from renewable sources and the latter with plant maintenance and repair.

The history of the company

In 1970, C.I.Mo.Sa. was founded in Castelnuovo della Daunia as a one-man company. DAUNA as a sole proprietorship. It mainly dealt with the construction of metal carpentry, industrial assembly and maintenance of thermal power plants.


In 1985, thanks to the initiative of the couple and sole partners AV and DCR, the NEW C.I.Mo.Sa. Dauna S.r.l. (abbreviated to N.C.D. S.r.l.) was established. In 1998 the entrepreneurial spirit of the two partners of N.C.D. S.r.l. led them to set up a new company, with the corporate purpose of producing electricity from renewable sources, called NCD Divisione Eolica S.r.l.

NCD group today

From 1970 to 1985, C.I.Mo.Sa. Dauna was mainly involved in the construction and assembly of industrial plants, metal carpentry, maintenance of thermal cycle power plants, refineries and petrochemical plants, in collaboration with MANNESMANN Italiana S.p.A. of Milan.


In 1985 it changed its legal form: from a sole proprietorship it became a S.r.l., also changing its company name to "Nuova C.I.Mo.Sa. Dauna".



In 1988 it signs an agreement with the German company ITT Grinnell GmbH, which allows it to manufacture (in Italy) and market variable and constant load elastic supports. This agreement is currently no longer in force.


The NCD Group markets its products directly (and exclusively) throughout the world from its offices in Castelnuovo della Daunia (FG).

The company's main activities

  • construction of variable and constant load elastic supports;
  • construction of catenary and line accessories (saddles, collars, guides, forks, eyebolts, turnbuckles, etc.), either from their own standard, or from drawings supplied by the customer;
  • construction of hydraulic shock absorbers;
  • expansion compensators (rubber, metal, fabric);
  • construction site activities (assistance with assembly, replacement, maintenance of suspensions and modifications of anchoring supports, in thermoelectric power stations, refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, steelworks, etc.).

  • costruzione di catenaria ed accessori di linea (selle, collari, guide, forcelle, golfari, tenditori, ecc.), sia da proprio standard, che su disegno fornito dal cliente;
  • costruzione di ammortizzatori idraulici;
  • compensatori di dilatazione (gomma, metallo, tessuto);
  • attività di cantiere (assistenza al montaggio, sostituzione, manutenzione di sospensioni e modifiche di ancoraggio dei supporti, in centrali termoelettriche, raffinerie, impianti chimici e petrolchimici, acciaierie, ecc.).
